Job Description

The Logistics Manager will oversee all aspects of logistics and supply chain management for the company. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and leadership skills. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for optimizing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage and coordinate transportation, including inbound and outbound logistics, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and distribution.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, stock rotation, and space utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards for transportation and warehousing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to logistics staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics management roles, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP, WMS, and TMS.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
