Job Description
The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting customers with product inquiries, selections, and purchases. This role requires excellent customer service skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate plays a key role in providing a positive shopping experience and driving sales for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information, recommendations, and assistance with product selections.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with prompt and courteous service.
- Promote sales and special promotions to customers to drive revenue and meet sales targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving shipments, checking stock levels, and conducting stock counts.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including security and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Continuously update product knowledge and stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using POS systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise as needed.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
